Church of Akhaltskha, which was turned into Officers’ House during the USSR period, is being reconstructed for a month with  the aim of moving the Municipality  to this building.

The workers discovered a cross-stone during the repairing  of the walls of former St. Savior Church.

When Akhaltskha spiritual team got information about this fact, they asked local government for permission to move the cross-stone to functioning Armenian church, and they got positive answer.

The cross-stone and two crosswise windows were transported to St. Grigor Illuminator Church from St. Savior Church several days ago.
