Armenian youth of Akhaltskha respected the memory of Armenian Genocide victims with candles and pictures of murdered intellectuals

On the eve of Apr. 24, a group of Armenian youth gathered at the central park in Akhaltskha and remembered the victims of the Armenian Genocide with pictures of the intellectuals who were killed in Constantinople on April 24, 1915.

The youth lit candles in memory of the victims of the Genocide, after which they climbed to St. Nshan Church where they also lit candles and prayed for the souls of the victims to rest in peace.

Let us remind that the events dedicated to the 99th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide have been taking place for a week. On Apr. 22, an exhibition dedicated to the Armenian Genocide of 1915 was opened at the USAID Center, a torch-lit march was held on the eve of Apr. 23 and a Liturgy and protest were held on Apr. 24.
